Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3 cups chicken broth or more as needed
  • 0.5 cup cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 20-oz package cheese tortellini uncooked
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese

Instructions

  • Warm 2 tablespoons of avocado oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and whisk in the flour until you have a smooth paste. Gradually stir in chicken broth, ensuring no lumps remain.
  • Return the skillet to medium-low heat and whisk in the cream, garlic powder, and black pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Add the cheese tortellini and let it cook in the sauce, following the package instructions for timing, until almost tender. Stir occasionally.
  • Mix in parmesan and cream cheese, stirring until the sauce is velvety. Adjust with more broth for a thinner sauce or more cheese for thickness. Serve hot.

Notes

This dish is perfect for busy nights, delivering comfort without the hassle. The pasta effortlessly cooks in the sauce, infusing it with flavor. Feel free to experiment with adding other spices or adjusting the cheese to your liking.
