Ingredients

  • 1 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into 1-inch cubes
  • bamboo skewers soaked in water for 30 minutes
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your grill or oven to a medium-high temperature, around 400°F (200°C) for that perfect char.
  • Next, thread the chicken pieces onto the soaked bamboo skewers. Ensure there's a small gap between each piece to allow for even cooking.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the garlic until it's fragrant, about one minute. Add the honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and brown sugar, letting the mixture simmer.
  • Mix the cornstarch with water and stir it into the sauce, cooking until it thickens, which should take about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.

Notes

This honey garlic butter sauce is an exceptional glaze for chicken and is great for drizzling over stir-fry or using as a dip for appetizers.
