Meatball Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef use lean for less fat
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs preferably panko for a crispy texture
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated for best flavor
  • 1 tsp garlic powder or fresh minced garlic

Pasta Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti cook according to package instructions

Sauce Ingredients

  • 24 oz marinara sauce store-bought or homemade

Making the Meatballs

  • In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and seasoning. Mix until combined.

  • Roll mixture into balls about the size of golf balls.
  • In a skillet, brown the meatballs on all sides over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
  • Add marinara sauce to the skillet and simmer for 20 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through.

Cooking the Pasta

  • Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Serving

  • Place spaghetti on plates, top with meatballs and sauce, and sprinkle with additional Parmesan if desired.

Notes

Resting time allows the flavors to meld beautifully and helps the meatballs retain moisture.
Experiment with different herbs in the meatball mixture for added flavor.
This dish freezes well; simply store in airtight containers for up to 3 months.
